How much does it cost to study at a UK university?

A Guide to Tuition Fees and Living Expenses
The following costs are a guide only. For exact and up-to-date tuition and accomodation fees, refer to the actual institution. Consortium UK strongly recommends university-owned/managed/recommended accommodation for first year students. Other expenses depend on you!! Shopping in markets can be cheaper than bigger shops. There are big "sales" with discounts (reductions) during January (New Year Sales) and July (Summer Sales). There are also second-hand or "used" shops at universities where books are really cheap. Also, look out for charity shops.

As a rough estimate (based on 1 pound = 54 baht), the total cost of Air Ticket, Tuition and Living will be about 20,000 to 30,000 pounds, or 1.1 to 1.6 million baht for 1 year - that could be less if you only eat rice and drink tap water every day!! Remember that you can work for 20 hours a week, so that could offset the costs; however, do remember that before you enter the UK and when you apply for a visa, you must show that you have enough funds to pay for all tuition and living expenses!!
